Windows 7 x64 lets me use all my RAM, actually knows how to use a quad core well and in general is more stable. BOINC has caused me a few freeze ups but I don't blame windows 7 as the CUDA tech causes some problems. I have really been enjoying how fast it runs and how responsive it is. If you are running on hardware from 2002 yeah you probably don't need it, but if you are building a new rig I don't see a reason not to use Windows 7 for gaming.?
